Agoura Hills Dance is pleased to host Anthony LoCascio, internationally recognized Tap Dancer and former lead dancer from the Broadway Hit “Tap Dogs”, in a one-day double workshop on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011.
“Performing tap for 3000 people is fantastic, but teaching 3 people how to tap is inspiring.” Anthony has been published and seen in places like Dance Spirit Magazine, Dance Teacher Magazine, On Tap Magazine, and most recently Studio Beat Magazine.
With a style that ranges from 70′s Funk, Traditional Tap, and Tap Dogs; to his trademark Lyrical style tap, Anthony’s grasp of the evolution of tap dance is one of the hottest directions tap has headed since the great movie musicals of the past.
“The Tap Dogs show is fantastic. I saw it many times. I’m thrilled to have Anthony LoCascio at Agoura Hills Dance”, says Betsy Melber, Owner Director of Agoura Hills Dance & Performing Arts Center.
Anthony will teach two workshops on October 2nd: 11:00am to 12:15 for Beginning and Intermediate levels, and 12:30-200pm for Intermediate and Advanced Levels. Costs will be $18.00 per person or $30.00 for both.
The Anthony LoCascio workshop is the first of many scheduled for the Fall 2011 season at Agoura Hills Dance. Registration for fall dance classes is happening now for all levels of tap, jazz, classical ballet, hip hop, theatre jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Adult classes are available in all genres, including Mommy & Me.
